Gay Lea’s New Coconut Whipped Cream ~ #Review & #Giveaway

If anyone knows me, I love sweets. I crave sweet things especially when I was pregnant. Maybe that is why both my girls have sweet tooths. When I am baking they are always cakes or cookies. Usually the best part of the cakes and cookies are the icing. My youngest daughter goes to the extreme and licks only the icing and leaves the rest of the dessert. It is really hard to make her to eat the actually cookie or the cake. Whenever we go out during the weekend my daughter always asks for her favourite drink – Strawberries and Creme Frap with Whip. She used to take a spoon and eat the whipped cream first. She might as well get a can of whipped cream and spray it into her mouth. My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks on Blu-Ray and DVD October 28, 2014 ~ #Review

I had a fantastic time with my girls watching My LITTLE PONY EQUESTRIA GIRLS: RAINBOW ROCKS in theaters a few weekends ago.  It was a limited edition showing in 400 cinemas across Canada and U.S,  You can read my review here.  Just in time, for the holidays, it is going to be released on Blu-Ray and DVD October 28, 2014.  My daughters were so excited to see this movie played multiple of times.

Vichy Detox Night Cream ~ #Review & #Giveaway

Sleep is one of the important things we can do to keep our skin healthy and young. When we sleep our skin is regenerating and I like always like to apply night cream to help with the healing process. I like to think when I apply something at night it should be like a healing mask that when I wake up in the morning my face will feel refreshed and healthy. Vichy Aqualia Thermal Power Serum and Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Light Cream ~ #Review

I was discussing with one of my co-workers which skin condition is worse – having oily skin with bad acne or sensitive dry skin. I had terrible oily skin that causes acne all over my face. I would remember it would be oily even a few hours after I washed my face. My youngest daughter has developed dry skin that has become flaky, itchy, and sensitive. A total opposite of what I had but it also came with a list with its own problems.

It is so sad to see summer has come and gone. It was one of my best summers since there was barely any humidity this year. My daughter is now back at school so her little bright mind would absorb all sorts of information. Sometime she would surprise me with how much she learns at school. She has a new teacher and she adjusted perfectly with knowing only a few kids. We read every night and practise her spelling words and I want to provide her more materials she can learn from. The Body Shop Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate ~ #Review

I am a night owl. I work all day and go straight home to take care of the kids. The only time I could blog is in the evening when the kids are down for the night. So there have been many occasions where there has been a few late nights so I could catch up on things or if I am reading a really good book that I can’t put down. It is not surprising that I have a hard time getting up in the morning and my eyes are puffy and red. I just love to put on The Body Shop Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate to help me start my day.

Have you heard that The Bay on Queen Street, Toronto, has already set up their Christmas collection in their store? Wait! The kids have not had their Halloween yet. We can’t miss one of the most fun events of the year. I think it is better than Christmas. Not to be sound like a Scrooge, or maybe I do, but when can people dress up for the fun and people don’t think you need to be checked into a loonie bin. Plus when can you go knocking on people’s door and they give you candies, chocolates, and chips. Of course the best part of the night is to dump out the bag to sort out the loot. I love when houses decorate for Halloween. It makes Halloween very exciting and fun. Hallmark has so many exciting Halloween decoration ideas this year that could be re-used every year.

Maybelline New York Dream Wonder Liquid Touch Foundation ~ #Review

I have become uneasy leaving the house without any makeup. It makes my face feel naked and droopy looking. I never wore foundation until the past 3 years. I use to hate wearing makeup until I discover it was not me but the makeup itself. I was wearing the wrong type of foundation since it was too heavy and I was breaking out very easily. I needed a lightweight foundation so I don’t feel like I am wearing anything on my face. It is possible that Maybelline New York Dream Wonder Liquid Touch Foundation in Porcelain Ivory 10 could be what I am looking for.

Yves Rocher Sheer Botanical Lipstick ~ #Review

Lipsticks, Lip glosses, and Lip balms – at least one of them has to be in my purse. You might see me always dapping some on either at my desk or when I am using the elevators. My lips are constantly dry so I have to have one on hand. If I am ever caught without one which is rare but it has happened before, you will see me rushing to the closest store that sell lip products and also gives me an opportunity to try something new. My lips and I have been loving Yves Rocher Sheer Botanical Lipsticks that launched for this Fall.

I don’t watch as many international films as I want to. In the past I have seen many Asian films but ever since I moved out I never got back into it. The few non Asian international film that I have seen are beautifully filmed but have a strange/odd story plot. You will know this was not made by Hollywood or Disney. Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart is an animated musical romance motion picture.

Maybelline New York Colour Sensational lipstick and Elixir by Colour Sensational ~ #Review

If there is one makeup I have to have it is lip products. If I am just running a short errand I don’t want to spend 20 mins applying makeup. At the bare minimum, I have to have something for my lips. When I am applying products on my lips, one thing it has to have is hydration. My lips are always dry so my ideal lip product could hydrate them with a hint of colour and does not hurt the wallet. Maybelline has some great lip products that I think you will love: Maybelline New York Colour Sensational lipstick and Elixir by Colour Sensational.

Half full vs Half empty?

It is sad to admit that I see my glass half empty. This avoids disappointment. Then again that might sabotage me. There were many times I would sign up hoping to get picked to do the job. There were a few times I wanted something so badly that I was so disappointed I was not on the list.

Over the years I believed that if you worked hard enough, something good will come out of it. Alas, it is not always the case. It is not fun when I worked so hard and in the end it gets shot down or it is not good enough. It is not fun working for a company who just takes me for granted. They focus on my mistakes and not my contributions to the company.

So, am I half full or half empty? I am still half empty but I have learned to accept the outcomes as they come. “It is what it is”. There is no changing it. There is no point in being disappointed if I don’t get to be chosen or things didn’t work out. No point of mulling over it. I guess it is what is meant to be. Can’t waste on negative energy so all I could do is keep on going.

I love to have nail art on my fingers but I am not very creative and don’t have very steady hands. Of course I would need the tools and guidance to help me. However if I have the urge to play up my nails for the day or a week I would check out imPress Press-on Maicure by Broadway Nails.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil ~ #Review

I use to love Fall until this year because it means winter is coming and I am not looking forward to it.   Last winter was so bad I was happy to see Spring. When season changes so does the care for my skin. I had not turned on the furnace yet but when I do it means dry heat which creates dry itchy skin. The most products I have been seeing in the market are products with Argan Oil. They are known to perform miracles to skin and hair. I can't wait to try The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil on my dehydrated skin.

I can’t believe summer went by so fast and the kiddies are now back at school.  This summer I was extremely busy and trying to keep my head above water. My daughter started school and she was already asking me when her next PA Day is. I guess that is what is to be expected. This year, she will be getting homework every day and one of them she will be given some words each week to practice her spelling. Guess what! I am so glad I have the Boogie Board to help my daughter memorize for her Friday spelling test.

I have a few addictions and one of them is my love of hand creams. It is really hard not to visit the hand cream isle when I am shopping at a drug store or a store that sells body care. I love to see and try anything new and always looking to see if my favourites are on sale. I have been slowly trying to finish what I have because I have many half finished tubes and jars all over the house and the office. There is still a long list of hand creams I have yet to cross off my list I want to try. Recently I received I Love.... (Cosmetics) I wanted to try for them for longest time. I have no idea why I waited so long because it now became one of my favourites.

I believe every kid out there will be all excited to dress up for Halloween. This year Halloween falls on Friday which means the kids will stay up most of the night counting all the loot they have collected from the neighbourhood. Both of my daughters are going to have a mini overdose of sugar that evening. To make Halloween even special is by watching television shows with Halloween theme. Sure there are a few I know watching growing up but my kids have grown to love the witch from “Room on the Broom” written by Julia Donaldson.

Thunder and the House of Magic DVD ~ #Review & #Giveaway

I have to admit that I would have loved to watch Thunder and the House of Magic on the big screen. There were some parts of the film that were meant to be seen in 3D. It was like one of those 3D movie rides that my kids love. It is about a cat that came across a friendly magician’s mansion where he meets the magician’s pets and magical moving toys. A cat with no place to go ended up finding new friends and an owner. The movie was very entertaining and both of my girls enjoyed it. They enjoyed it so much that we watch the DVD multiple times in one sitting.  My favourite part was when the magician performed a magic trick at the hospital.  Check it out because it is great for the whole family to watch.

I can’t believe my little girl is back at school. Where did the summer go and September just flew by? We are back to our regular morning routine so my daughter has been dining on cereal almost every morning. She has her favourite mug/bowl that she uses every day because it is metal and pink. I hate to send her hungry before I drop her off to the babysitter’s so I make sure she at least eats something in the morning. Her morning snack at school is not until 10am so it is a long time before she could eat in the morning.

My Little Pony: EQUESTRIA GIRLS: RAINBOW ROCKS ~ #Review

I had a fantastic time with my girls watching My LITTLE PONY EQUESTRIA GIRLS: RAINBOW ROCKS in theaters this past weekend. I grew up watching My Little Pony back in the 80's and I am impressed with their Re-vamp and created My Little Pony: The Friendship of Magic. Now they added another spin and created My Little Pony: Equestria Girls. The first movie in 2013 was success they had to make another one. I agree to one of their new song that this movie is “Better Than Ever”.
