Watch Guardians of the Galaxy ~ #SUBWAYandaMovie

I love going to the movies.  It is one of my favourite things to do during the summer.  The best movies to watch on the big screen are action flicks produced by Marvel.  This past weekend I was invited by Subway Canada to watch Guardians of the Galaxy in 3D - a week before it was released to the public on August 1, 2014.

Years ago, I never did take care of my hair like I do now. When I was younger I didn’t need hair conditioner. My hair was usually healthy and silky smooth. As I grow older I have noticed my hair has become drier so I started using conditioners then later leave-in conditioners. My hair has seen it all except having my head shaved. It has been blow dried, perm, coloured, curled, ironed, and air dried. Don’t forget I live in the city so add in pollution and UV rays when I am out in the sun. For years I always had my hair length around the shoulders and it only have been a few years I let it grow down to my waist. I have noticed my hair can’t survive without conditioner and leave-in hair conditioner after the shower. As the hair gets longer, the drier at the tip it becomes. To keep my hair soft, silky, smooth, and healthy, I used Live Clean Age Resist.

When I had cable, I was an HGTV junkie and loved to watch anything and everything what was on that channel. I believed I had that channel on at least 50% of the time and watched all sorts of interior decorating, renovations, do-it-yourself projects, real estates, and flipping houses shows. One of them I really enjoyed watching was Sarah Richardson.

I literally grew up with acne. I had it since I was a kid and all through college. It was the worst during grade school and high school. It was all over my face. Having acne for so many years shot down my self esteem. I had tried many acne treatments and avoided cosmetics because it made it worse. I had read many Dr. Seuss’ books and even saw the few that turned into short animated clips when I was younger. His books are classics and each child should have or had his books read to them because it should be a part of every child’s memories. We pronounce his name as "Soose" but really it is pronounced as "Zoice". Seuss was his Mother’s maiden name, which is also his middle name. He was not really a doctor. He eventually received an honorary doctorate and honorary degrees. My top 3 favourite books by Dr. Seuss are Green Eggs and Ham, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Cat in The Hat. Don't forget the last two I mentioned was made into Live Action movies which made the books even more popular.

Ripley's Aquarium of Canada ~ #Review

School is out and I had my daughter's summer all lined up.  The whole family are taking turns watching my oldest daughter and some of the weeks she will be attending camp.  I had the first shift and I had no clue what to do with her.  Then I was over the moon when I was given the opportunity to visit Ripley's Aquarium of Canada.  A co-worker took her daughter a few months ago and told me how great it was and that I should visit it with my daughters.  I was so excited that I was counting the days when I could go and visit with my girls.

L'Occitane Hydra Vital Gel ~ #Review

The summer is now in full swing since school was out.  I am so happy that there have been only a few days where it was really hot and humid.  Luckily it cools down at night so the house is at the perfect temperature.  One would assume my skin wouldn't be dehydrated as much as it is during the winter but alas, my skin has its mind of its own and stays dehydrated regardless of the season.  It is not as severe but I still need something that is not too thick but light enough that relaxes my skin.  Any heavy cream apply during the summer would just melt my makeup right off and would feel gross.  Gel is usually the best option so I tried L'Occitane Hydra Vital Gel during the summer to hydrate my skin.

Campbell's Summer Grains ~ #PR & #Contest

The weather has finally gotten hot these days.  So hot that I try to cook as little as possible in the house as well as I don't turn on the oven at all.  I either cook outside or cook simple dishes that do not take any time at all.  I usually make salads but making the same thing all summer is boring like making the same white rice every day for 365 days (give or take).  Growing up eating the same brand of rice with just water makes dinner not very exciting.  It was only when I moved out when I learned that I could use beef, chicken, or vegetable broth to kick up my rice up a notch.  My favourite broth brand I usually purchase is Campbell's.

For the longest time I thought I had both dry and oily skin.  I knew I had oily skin because by the afternoon my face gets shiny and oily.  I have to use paper to blot it to remove the excess.  However, I have flaky skin around my nose so that is why I thought I had dry skin.  I was incorrect until I had my skin analyzed and found out I do have oily skin but dehydrated.  Regardless I drink plenty of water, but the air is sucking me dry.  You might assume it would be only the winter but it is actually all year round.  If you have dry or dehydrated skin, you have to try The Body Shop Aqua Boost Sorbet (50ml, $20).

Just when you think that battling Menupause, dark spots, and wrinkles is bad enough, we have another one to add to the list - Cellulite.  What are they?  They are the fat cells trapped under our skin that cause hills and valleys on our skin.  Both men and women could get it but it mostly affect women because of the change in our estrogen.  It will appear in areas of the arms, legs, and stomach.
